BigSplice Privacy Policy

BigSplice was previously published as BigSplice; this policy applies to both.

The short version

BigSplice is a spreadsheet that runs entirely on your device. We do not operate servers for the app, we do not collect analytics, and we never see your files or your questions.

Your files and data

Sheets you import, edit, or create stay in the app's storage on your device (and in your own iCloud or device backups if you enable those). Nothing is uploaded to us.

Cloud storage you connect

If you connect your own cloud storage (Amazon S3, Google Cloud Storage, Azure Blob Storage), the app talks directly to that provider using credentials you enter. Credentials are stored in the device Keychain and are never sent to us.

Asking questions about your data

The "Ask" feature can use Apple Intelligence on your device, a large model downloaded to your device, or a model server that you choose and run yourself. In every case the app sends your question and the relevant sheet data only to the option you selected — never to us.

Sharing with Claude

If you turn on sharing, other apps on your device or on your own network can query your sheets through a connection you protect with a pairing code. You control when this is on.

Purchases

BigSplice Pro is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment; we receive no payment details. Purchases are tied to your Apple Account and can be restored on your other devices.

What we don't do

• No accounts, no sign-in.
• No analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs.
• No crash reporting beyond what you opt into with Apple.
